Aplikacja do prezentacji punktów zainteresowań osobie niewidomej

Cel tej pracy inżynierskiej to opracowanie metody prezentacji punktów użyteczności
publicznej (ang. Points of Interest) osobie niewidomej oraz słabowidzącej, znajdujących się w
jej najbliższym otoczeniu. Aplikację zaprojektowano i wdrożono na telefony komórkowe z
systemem Android.
W pierwszej kolejności zostały przeanalizowane istniejące aplikacje wraz z
rozwiązaniami ułatwiającymi używanie urządzeń elektrycznych dla osób słabowidzących i
niewidomych.
W aplikacji po wyszukaniu POI na podstawie wypowiedzianej frazy i wybraniu
jednego z punktów na mapie, użytkownik dostaje informację głosową na temat odległości i
czasu trasy pieszej do danego punktu od lokalizacji, w której znajduje się urządzenie oraz o
kierunku w trybie “na godzinę”. Trasa zostaje wyświetlona na mapie.
Działanie aplikacji zweryfikowano pod kątem poprawności prezentacji wyników na
mapie, generowania trasy do wybranych punktów jak i przetestowaniu poprawności
komunikatów głosowych.

The purpose of this engineering thesis is to develop a method of presenting points of
interest to a blind and visually impaired person in their nearest area. The application was
designed and implemented on mobile phones with Android system.
The first part was research of existing applications. They were reviewed with solutions
facilitating the use of electrical devices for the visually impaired and blind.
In application after searching POI for the appropriate phrase and selecting one of the
points on the map, user receives information on the distance and time of the walk to the given
point from the device’s location and the direction by reading it in clock position. The route is
also drawn on the map.
The last part contains the results of the functional tests of the application. The test
shows that the application is working properly.
